Storage Services

CAC offers DataDirect Networks storage for research datasets. Optional data compression services are also available using an Ocarina Networks appliance. Used together, these devices provide a high-performance, low-maintenance, and economical solution to the problem researchers face with storing and maintaining accessibility to the increasingly vast data collections that they generate. This solution was featured in Drug Discovery News and HPCwire. CAC also offers file services, database servers, and Web services clusters. To access these services, please visit Project Requests.

If a user desires data backup services, this service is provided by Cornell Information Technologies via EZ-Backup.

Storage Experience

CAC collaborates with faculty and researchers to solve data storage and analysis problems. CAC also hosts Science Gateways to facilitate easy access to data. Project examples include:
