Hardware is great, but it's the software that allows users to do their computational science.

In this module, we provide an overview of what major software is installed on CTC machines, and how users can find more complete and up-to-date information.   In the lab exercise, you will incorporate calls to a numerical library into a C or Fortran program.

Prerequisites: Ideally you should already be familiar with CTC computing resources or have recently completed the Getting Started module. In order to do the lab exercise, you should also have completed either the  Compiling and Porting Serial Applications for Windows or Compiling and Porting Serial Applications for Linux module, as well as the  Velocity Scheduler module (or be familiar with submitting batch jobs at CTC).
